Intuitive is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Single-Port Accessories to design, develop, test, and document mechanical components for the da Vinci system. You will prototype, analyze, and iterate designs to meet safety, reliability, and manufacturability goals while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to high-volume production environments, perform FEA and tolerance analysis, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in regulated medical devices or related industries.
• Proficiency with CAD, especially SolidWorks; able to create assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of materials (plastics, silicones, isoprenes) and material properties.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, thermoset molding, machining).
• Fluency in GD&T and tolerance stack analysis.
• Strong communication across functions and ability to present to technical audiences.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and solving complex problems.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, test, and document mechanical components and assemblies for surgical system accessories.
• Prototype, test, and analyze designs; perform FEA and tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and supplier engineering to transfer designs to production.
• Support risk management, design controls, and release to manufacturing.
• Mentor other engineers and help set team goals.
