Zaddy Solutions in Brown Deer, WI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead ground-up machine architecture for custom robotic cells. You will design high-speed automation in SolidWorks, mentor a small team, and collaborate with controls and fabrication on-site.

You have a BS Mechanical Engineering or 5–10 years of hands-on design experience, US work authorization, and reside within commuting distance of Brown Deer.

Qualifications

• BSME or 5–10 years of verifiable, ground-up custom equipment design experience in heavy machinery or high-speed automation.
• Expert fluency modeling large assemblies and drafting production-ready drawings in SolidWorks.
• Practical understanding of structural weldments (GMAW/GTAW), material selection, machine shop processes, and tight tolerances.
• Proven history of maintaining project schedules and budgets with solid tenure.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder residing within a dependable driving radius of Brown Deer, WI.

Responsabilités

• Lead ground-up machine architecture for high-speed, multi-axis automated machinery and robotic work cells.
• Develop concepts and collaborate with Project Managers to brainstorm cost-effective, high-performance automated solutions.
• Break down design scopes into milestones, guiding internal detailers/designers and coordinating with external fabricators.
• Integrate fluid power and drive systems, selecting hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo mechanisms.
• Conduct early design reviews to eliminate hazards, pinch points, and ergonomic issues before shop release.
• Serve as the technical contact for global clients while managing BOM releases and resolving assembly-floor issues in real time.
