Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in Brown Deer, WI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own ground-up machine architecture for custom robotic cells and high-speed automation.

You will lead mechanical design in a 100% SolidWorks environment, collaborate with controls engineers, and oversee integration from concept to on-site assembly. The role offers a competitive base salary up to $120,000/year, 1st shift, and direct-hire with comprehensive benefits in a small, agile team of engineers

Qualifications

• Education is a BSME or equivalent with strong ground-up equipment design experience.
• Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate with fabrication partners.
• Experience with high-speed automation and custom machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design integrity for high-speed automated machinery and robotic cells.
• Develop concepts with project managers to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate internal detailers and external fabrication partners.
• Select hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo components as needed.
• Conduct safety and design reviews prior to shop release.
• Collaborate with global clients and support BOM releases.
