Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience creating and overseeing multi-part mechanical assemblies from concept
• Mastery in one or more major parametric CAD tools
• Demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring, or leading engineering teams
• Expertise in design intent, assembly reasoning, mechanism and kinematic analysis, and GD&T/tolerance judgment
• Experience across industrial machinery, robotics, automotive, aerospace, or medical devices
• Exceptional written English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze and dissect multi-part mechanical assemblies to identify critical design decisions, constraints, and potential failure points
• Formulate challenging, non-obvious technical questions that test real-world mechanical design judgment
• Validate and document defensible, exact answers directly from CAD models with traceability
• Review AI-generated outputs, pinpoint breakdowns or inaccuracies in mechanical reasoning, and suggest improvements
• Flag ambiguous, trivial, or unanswerable questions and refine them for clarity and precision
• Document edge cases and sources of disagreement within answers for verifiability
• Communicate findings and reasoning clearly in written and verbal form to support project improvement
