Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead complex mechanical system design from concept through release, guiding a distributed team and influencing product strategy.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical design and leadership, deep CAD/CAE expertise (SolidWorks, ANSYS, COMSOL), and a strong grasp of materials, manufacturing (incl. additive), and international standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in mechanical design, development, and leadership.
• Expert in CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks, ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing incl. additive, and standards.
• Proven remote leadership with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems from concept to release.
• Perform FEA/CFD analyses for performance and robustness.
• Create design docs: schematics, P&IDs, 3D models, BOMs.
• Coordinate with remote cross-functional teams for integration.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in virtual settings.
• Stay updated with new tech and propose innovations.
