Job summary

Creare in Hanover, NH seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design, analyze, and prototype electro-mechanical and thermal-fluid systems. You will select fabrication processes, perform analyses, and guide prototypes toward deployment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes CAD and FEM proficiency, attention to detail, and strong communication. P.E. licensure is a plus, with a competitive compensation package including bonus and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in industry.
• BSME or MSME with excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to design for a wide range of fabrication processes.
• Capabilities in FEM and CAD.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication.
• P.E. licensure is a plus but not required.
• Candidates with knowledge in materials and structural engineering with strong analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of R&D projects, including spacecraft cryogenic systems, compact combustors, and precision pumps.
• Use statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, materials, and mechanical design to develop fabrication processes and test prototypes.
• Collaborate with Designers, Technicians, and other engineers in small, interdisciplinary project teams.
• Contribute to development of prototypes, high-performance products, and deployed systems.
