Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking a Mechanical Design & Development Engineer in Concord, NC. You will develop new mechanical products from concept to prototype, focusing on performance, weight, and manufacturability.

The role requires hands-on design, strong CAD skills (NX/SolidWorks/Creo), and experience with FEA. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust designs and drive testing and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years in mechanical design or product development.
• Experience with lightweight structures and load-path analysis.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools including NX/SolidWorks/Creo.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new mechanical products from conceptual ideas through implementation.
• Translate requirements into practical mechanical design solutions.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and docs.
• Evaluate designs for performance, manufacturability, weight, and cost.
• Use FEA tools to support engineering decisions.
• Support prototype builds and design validation testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers throughout development.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and performance requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers as needed.
