Job summary

Creare in Hanover, NH is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and execute testing strategies for advanced electromechanical systems. You will design test plans, build test fixtures, and analyze results to ensure reliability and performance of cutting‑edge R&D systems.

You’ll work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers and skilled technicians to validate complex systems in both lab and field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in test engineering, quality assurance, or product validation.
• Familiarity with electrical circuits and test instrumentation systems.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies and quality principles.
• Ability to write clear test documentation and reports.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Engineering Judgment: Ability to recognize abnormal system behavior and take appropriate action.
• Technical Curiosity: Desire to understand system functionality beyond following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and procedures based on requirements and design specifications.
• Execute manual and automated tests for functional, integration, system, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to understand designs, risks, and failure modes.
• Design and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and environments.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable reports and recommendations.
• Support root‑cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews to ensure testability.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation coverage.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and quality systems.
