Job summary

Dukane IAS LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in St. Charles, IL to develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assembly products, with about 75% of time on development work and 25% on engineering support.

You will evaluate components and materials, select outside vendors, and create documentation meeting ISO standards and TQM. Travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of industrial equipment design experience.
• Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD design.
• Familiar with DFMA and ISO/TQM practices.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom products.
• Evaluate components and materials for reliability and quality.
• Oversee vendor progress and project execution.
• Create and maintain design and manufacturing documentation to ISO/TQM.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and communicate progress.
• Travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.
