Dukane IAS LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in St. Charles, IL to develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assembly products, with about 75% of time on development work and 25% on engineering support.
You will evaluate components and materials, select outside vendors, and create documentation meeting ISO standards and TQM. Travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally as needed.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work primarily on Products for the Mechanical Engineering and Custom Engineering departments.
This person will spend at least 75% of his or her time on product development and improvements.
Domestic and International travel may be required and travel is estimated at about 10% of the time.
Will support the Corporate Quality Policy and, using TQM concepts, principles and tools, will make continuous improvements in work processes.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
3-5 years of experience designing industrial equipment with motion stages is required.
Proficiency in 3D- and 2D- CAD mechanical design. Inventor or Creo is a plus. Working knowledge of the modern manufacturing processes and practices. Good understanding of the DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Attention to details and ability to focus on specific problems.
