Job summary

Dukane IAS LLC in Missouri is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assemblies, dedicating about 75% of time to development. You will evaluate components, select materials, oversee vendors, and create ISO/TQM compliant documentation while coordinating multiple projects with manufacturing, sales and suppliers.

Travel is expected to be around 10%, and you may assist with installations and service at customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years designing industrial equipment with motion stages.
• Proficiency in 3D- and 2D-CAD; Inventor or Creo preferred.
• Strong DFMA knowledge and manufacturing process awareness.
• Clear written and oral communication; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced mechanical designs for standard and custom plastic assemblies.
• Evaluate components and materials to improve reliability and quality.
• Oversee vendors and project progress; manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Create documentation compliant with ISO/TQM guidelines.
• Support manufacturing, sales and installations; travel as needed (~10%).
