ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer to design and deliver precision mechanical assemblies from concept to production release. This hands-on role combines strong CAD skills, design for manufacturability, and close collaboration with customers and manufacturing teams.

You will translate requirements, create 3D models and drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and lead design reviews to ensure reliable performance across temperature and pressure interfaces.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis and ECR.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods and interfaces.
• Ability to independently manage technical work and collaborate across functions.

Responsabilidades

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and designs.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs and design docs.
• Perform calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis and risk assessments.
• Design components with temperature, pressure, sealing interfaces and manufacturability in mind.
• Develop prototype and validation plans; evaluate results and refine designs.
• Lead or support design reviews and resolve issues with teams and suppliers.
• Support NPI, ECOs, and troubleshooting of production or field concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve practices.
