Job summary
Honda in the United States is seeking an engineer to guide new technologies and mass production concepts in the Power Products category, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction. You will lead small teams, perform CAD drawings, calculations, and design reviews, and coordinate prototype builds with research and suppliers to meet strict specifications.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years engineering experience, with travel as needed and compliance with safety and company
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
- 2+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Power Products or Powersports.
- Ability to guide small development teams with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication with staff and management.
- Confidentiality and integrity are essential.
- Proficient in FTA, FMEA, tolerance stack-ups and CAE.
- Ability to create plans and schedules for product development.
- Experience drawing and layout with CAE knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Generate high-level drawings with 2D/3D CAD (Catia) to meet specs.
- Drive prototype builds and mass production parameter setting.
- Lead small project teams to meet milestones.
- Coordinate with suppliers and research teams on design issues.
- Oversee BOM and cost targets using cost data and quotes.
