American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking an entry-level mechanical designer to support a team developing and integrating equipment into Honda facilities. You will work from concept to finished design, ensuring solutions meet target criteria and are optimized.

The role involves on-site work with 90% office documentation and 10% fabrication/assembly support, with travel to Honda facilities and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of experience; Co-op preferred.
• Knowledge of 3D CAE systems and software.
• Background in automated equipment development.
• Strong technical communication skills (written and oral).

Responsabilités

• Provide mechanical designs for automated production equipment to assemble/build, and install/mature into production facilities.
• Collaborate in engineering teams to understand design requirements and create/modify automated equipment.
• Provide on-site support to install, set-up, and mature control systems for production equipment.
• Create and maintain a critical path schedule for control system design deliverables to meet project milestones for small to medium projects.
• Conduct and attend design reviews to ensure standards and specifications are met.
• Continuously learn new skills/processes/technology to expand knowledge in manufacturing technologies.
