TT Electronics in the United States (Olathe, KS area) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design power conversion products for demanding industrial, aerospace, defense, and high-reliability applications. You will lead mechanical design from concept through production, collaborating with electrical engineers, manufacturing, quality, and customers.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models and drawings, performing analyses, supporting prototyping and qualification, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Experience developing products from concept through production.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering documentation.
• Strong knowledge of thermal, structural, and manufacturability design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in power electronics, aerospace, defense, industrial, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
• Must meet ITAR requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical design and development of power conversion products and assemblies.
• Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform thermal, structural, vibration, and tolerance analyses.
• Support product development activities including prototyping, testing, and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Participate in customer technical discussions and design reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and product optimization initiatives.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects.
