Job summary

TT Electronics plc in Kansas is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of power conversion products from concept through production in demanding industrial, aerospace, and high‑reliability environments. You will create 3D models, drawings, and documentation while applying thermal and structural analyses to ensure performance and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Experience developing products from concept through production.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering documentation.
• Strong knowledge of thermal, structural, and manufacturability design principles.
• Must meet ITAR requirements.
• Experience in power electronics, aerospace, defense, industrial, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

• Perform thermal, structural, vibration, and tolerance analyses.
• Support product development activities including prototyping, testing, and qualification.

• Participate in customer technical discussions and design reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and product optimization initiatives.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects.
