Onward Search seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of power distribution products from concept through detailed design. You will guide a mechanical design team, review drawings for accuracy, and ensure manufacturability and compliance with UL 891/UL 50 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years in design/manufacturing in industrial settings.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software.
• Familiarity with UL 891 and UL 50 product standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, automation, and design for manufacturing and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of power distribution products from concept through detailed design.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical design team.
• Review engineering drawings and design documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve design issues and optimize production.
• Ensure designs meet UL 891, UL 50, and UL 50E standards.
