Job summary

MBC Aerosol in Elgin, IL is seeking a Senior Mechanical Machine Design Engineer to drive the design of aerosol machinery from concept through production. You will create 3D models and drawings, evaluate materials, and work with service and sales teams to deliver high-quality equipment.

The ideal candidate has SolidWorks expertise, hands-on experience with automated packaging machinery, and a track record of Cradle-to-grave design, documentation, and ERP-based release while maintaining safety and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years designing automated machinery.
SolidWorks 3D CAD expertise.
Extensive knowledge of automated packaging machinery.
Willingness to travel up to 5%.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Design mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks to create 3D models and drawings.
Research new materials and concepts for current and future machines.
Manage cradle-to-grave mechanical design across projects.
Maintain and organize engineering records.
Release designs in ERP and coordinate with teams.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical engineers and sales to meet budgets.
Assist service staff with technical queries.
Ensure designs comply with Aerosol industry safety standards.
