MBC Aerosol in Elgin, IL is seeking a Senior Mechanical Machine Design Engineer to lead design and configuration of aerosol packaging machinery from kickoff through release. You will create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks, select materials, and collaborate with electrical engineers, service, sales, and shop staff to ensure a high-quality product.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years designing automated machinery, strong SolidWorks skills, and experience with

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years designing automated machinery.
• In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
• Experience with automated packaging machinery.
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.
• Occasional travel may be required (<5%).
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Hazloc environment experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Mechanical machine design using SolidWorks to create 3D models and drawings.
• Research new materials and concepts for legacy and future designs.
• Cradle to grave mechanical machinery design.
• Organize and maintain engineering records.
• Release designs using ERP systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, sales, and service to ensure quality within schedule and budget.
• Support customers on technical matters when needed.
• Assist the service department with technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with Aerosol industry safety standards.
