Northrop Grumman in Ocean Springs, MS is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer Level 3 or 4 to support launcher hardware for Navy platforms. This on-site role offers growth and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will develop solid models, perform trade studies, generate drawings, and coordinate with suppliers. US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM with 5+ years experience or Master’s with 3+ years (Level 3)
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop designs concept and generate solid models reflecting concepts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders balancing technical, schedule, and cost requirements
• Conduct trade studies to select and evaluate best design approaches
• Oversee generation of engineering drawings using GD&T practices
• Identify procurement needs and support fabrication
• Provide assembly checkout and test support
• Generate task plans and support proposal efforts
• Occasional domestic travel may be required
