Job summary

Verustruct is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead detailed mechanical design and CAD integration for our robotic construction platform in Torrance, CA. You will own complex assemblies in Siemens NX and Teamcenter, guiding parts, drawings, and the evolving 10,000+ component structure from concept through fabrication and testing.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, robotics, and manufacturing teams, defining interfaces, motion, and assembly sequences, while ensuring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Ownership of large, complex assemblies with thousands of components.
• Practical Teamcenter experience managing engineering data, revisions, product structures, and design releases.
• A portfolio showing CAD to fabricated hardware progression.
• Strong understanding of interfaces, fits, tolerances, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design components and mechanical assemblies in Siemens NX for robotic formwork, locomotion, material handling, and related construction systems.
• Own the top-level assembly with 10,000+ components, including interfaces, constraints, configurations, reference geometry, and clearances.
• Develop robust modeling practices to facilitate modification, reuse, review, and handoff to engineers.
