Job summary

Verustruct is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead detailed mechanical design and CAD integration for its robotic construction platform. You will own complex assemblies in Siemens NX and Teamcenter, managing parts, drawings, and the evolving 10,000+ component structure, with close collaboration across mechanical, electrical, robotics, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Ownership of large, complex assemblies with thousands of parts.
• Teamcenter experience managing revisions, product structures, and releases.
• Portfolio of CAD-to-hardware designs.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with machined parts, sheet-metal, weldments or mechanisms.
• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design components and assemblies in Siemens NX for robotic formwork and related systems.
• Own the top-level 10,000+ component assembly and interfaces.
• Develop modeling practices to ease modification and handoffs.
• Maintain large-assembly performance with loading strategies and organized models.
• Manage NX and Teamcenter workflows: part numbering, revisions, and BOMs.
• Create motion studies, exploded views, and assembly sequences to verify operation.
• Produce manufacturing drawings with GD&T and tolerances grounded in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and suppliers on DFM/DFA.
• Resolve CAD vs hardware discrepancies and capture lessons for updates.
• Establish reusable templates and standard components.
