ProMach's Modern Packaging division in Deer Park, NY seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical development, redesign, and modernization of our food packaging machinery. You will serve as the architect of a modular, sanitary platform designed for washdown environments and high-throughput production.

You’ll design sealing, motion, film handling and dosing systems, create 3D CAD models, perform tolerance analyses, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Electrical,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in mechanical design, preferably in packaging machinery.
• Experience with sanitary/hygienic design and washdown environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead redesign of existing equipment to create a standardized, modular platform for food packaging operations.
• Design mechanical systems for sealing, motion, film handling, and dosing.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawing packages; perform tolerance analyses and material selections.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Electrical, Controls, and Operations teams for seamless integration.
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, FATs/SATs, and documentation ownership.
