Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design robust ECU mechanical structures and optimize thermal management for software-defined mobility solutions. The role involves 3D modeling, GD&T analysis, and collaboration with hardware teams.

Responsibilities include drafting BOMs, creating test protocols, and ensuring manufacturability for high-volume production. Requires 5+ years in ADAS/ECU design and strong CAD/CAE skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ADAS or ECU design.
• Experience with mass production development in ADAS or ECU.
• Strong CAD and CAE skills; knowledge of manufacturing quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust mechanical structures for ECU systems with thermal management.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize ECU housing designs for electronics integration.
• Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and apply GD&T.
• Develop mechanical testing protocols (shock, vibration, thermal cycling).
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize quality and cost.
• Support production readiness and transition to high-volume manufacturing.
• Prepare BOMs and detailed assembly drawings; document specifications.
• Communicate progress and risks in cross-functional meetings.
