ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. seeks a Software Design Engineer to develop detailed software component designs, monitor coders and testers, and contribute to code reviews under a Software Architect.

You will also help craft software requirements and architecture sections for complex automotive systems. The role requires 5+ years in embedded software with experience in 32-bit automotive MCUs, MISRA/ASPICE/ISO26262, AUTOSAR, CAN/LIN/SENT, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in embedded software development
• Experience with Eclipse IDE and 32-bit automotive microcontrollers
• Knowledge of MISRA, ASPICE, ISO26262 is preferred
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, SENT, UART, SPI interfaces
• Ability to read schematics and IC datasheets
• Good verbal and written English skills

Responsabilités

• Develop software component design specifications
• Lead or participate in code reviews and test reviews
• Develop unit test specifications and integration test reviews
• Support software requirements and software architecture sub-sections
• Assist with source code integration, diff/merge/branching
• Collaborate with software coders to maintain timelines
• Travel as needed to multiple global locations
