Job summary

Cooler Master USA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop advanced AI server cooling solutions that power next-generation GPUs and CPUs. This is a hands-on role from concept through mass production, collaborating with engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners in the U.S. and Asia.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required for daily Asia-based collaboration. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical/thermal engineering, CAD expertise (Creo/ProE),

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, with ability to communicate technical information with U.S. and China teams.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering.
• Proficient in CAD software (Creo/ProE preferred).
• Strong knowledge of aluminum and copper manufacturing processes including brazing, welding, and mass production.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel to Asia as required.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with Asia engineering teams and suppliers to execute product designs, tooling development, and mass production.
• Identify design opportunities to improve quality, cost, assembly, and manufacturability.
• Own all mechanical design activities from concept through mass production, including 3D design and drawings.
• Perform root cause analysis using DFMEA and PFMEA to improve product reliability.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) with suppliers and collaborate with customers' development teams.
• Investigate field issues, implement corrective actions, and coordinate design reviews.
• Develop manufacturing SOPs in collaboration with Manufacturing and Technical Support teams.
• Support ECO/ECN processes and mass production issue resolution.
