Job summary

Cooler Master USA in Fremont, CA seeks a highly experienced Technical Program Manager to lead IT cooling solutions from concept to mass production for AI data centers. The role requires cross-functional leadership across mechanical, thermal, firmware, and manufacturing teams and direct engagement with high-tech customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong hardware systems background, 8+ years in TPM or related fields, and experience coordinating with global suppliers (OEM/ODM/EMS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical program management, hardware engineering, or system integration.
• Strong background in complex hardware systems, thermal systems, or electromechanical products.
• Proven experience leading NPI programs from concept through mass production.
• Deep understanding of cross-functional development (mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing).
• Experience working with global suppliers and partners (OEM / ODM / EMS).
• Native or professional fluency in Mandarin and English to facilitate technical discussions and prevent communication gaps between the Asia team and the U.S. team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of IT cooling solutions from concept, architecture, prototyping, EVT/DVT/PVT, through mass production
• Build and manage program schedules, milestones, and resource plans across multiple projects
• Ensure on-time delivery while balancing performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability
• Interface directly with high-tech customers to understand technical requirements and align system architecture
• Support customer design reviews, technical discussions, and solution proposals
• Travel to customer sites and data centers to support deployment, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Drive alignment across mechanical, thermal, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
• Lead NPI readiness and transition from prototype to volume production
• Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to establish scalable production processes and ensure quality and yield targets
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure supply continuity for critical components
• Identify risks across design, supply chain, and manufacturing
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for system-level issues
• Lead rapid issue resolution to maintain program timelines
• Develop and manage program budgets, cost forecasting, and product cost optimization
• Align program execution with company strategy, especially in AI infrastructure and liquid cooling adoption
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to executive leadership
