Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Arnold Air Force Base, TN. You will perform complex machine design and analyses, lead design reviews, and mentor engineers on a multi-year AEDC program.

The role requires extensive FEA/GD&T experience, CAD proficiency (Inventor/other tools), and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. Competitive salary, education support, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university with at least 10 years’ experience in machine and mechanism design.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in FEA and GD&T applications per ASME Y14.5.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance and AEDC access.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complex design and analysis of components, systems, and facilities.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with design team to produce complete design packages and specifications.
• Serve as team lead on multi-year projects and provide coaching to the team.
