Job summary

Thor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to support its data center project portfolio. This role involves providing Mechanical Engineering expertise, leading MEP design projects, and coordinating with external consultants and stakeholders. A Mechanical Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience are required. Familiarity with software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, and Blue Beam is essential. The position offers flexibility to work remotely or from the office.

• Understanding of commissioning, QA/QC processes.

Mechanical Design Engineering Manager (required by a leading data center developer, owner and operator. This position can be remote or office based.

Overview

• Provide Mechanical Engineering expertise to data center project portfolio
• Support other teams from site origination through to data center operations
• Design and field Mechanical Engineering
• Lead, and manage external Engineering consultants
• Coordinate with customer’s MEP Designs on a project basis
• Guide and support design team with cooling (air and liquid) solutions
• Interface with other key stakeholders to provide Mechanical Subject matter expertise
• Support consecration teams with MEP Engineering

Qualifications

• Data Center experience, or industrial or commercial MEP design experience
• Mechanical Engineering degree
• 5+ years participating and leading MEP design projects
• Software: REVIT, AutoCAD, REVIT, Blue Beam etc
• Understanding of commissioning, QA/QC processes
