Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Commercial and Industrial Mechanical Construction company in the Metro Detroit area. You will manage mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout, coordinating with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, and field personnel.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, minimum of 5 years PM experience, and strong scheduling, budgeting, and change-order skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, or related construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and projections.
• Coordinate activities with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Lead meetings and maintain clear, timely communication with stakeholders.
• Review plans, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Work with Estimating and Field Supervision to ensure smooth transition from estimating to execution.
• Monitor costs, labor, materials, and budgets; identify overruns and risks.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery to support schedules.
• Oversee Project Administrators and Coordinators to ensure timely documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and quality standards.
• Promote safety and maintain project safety requirements.
