Job summary

The Construction Commissioning Superintendent – Mechanical will lead installation, testing, and startup of HVAC, liquid cooling, and piping in high-performance data centers, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical construction management, including at least 3 years in data center or mission-critical facility projects.
• PMP, LEED AP, or similar certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience with liquid cooling systems in HPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
• Ability to read P&IDs, drawings, and commissioning scripts; change management experience.
• Leadership and communication skills for diverse teams; strong documentation abilities.
• Familiarity with commissioning software and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
• Manage all mechanical construction activities for the data center project, including installation of liquid cooling systems, HVAC, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of liquid cooling technologies for high-density computing.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, general contractors, and vendors to integrate systems.
• Ensure installations comply with specifications, standards, and local codes.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets while mitigating risks and delays.
• Enforce OSHA safety protocols and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee commissioning of loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and backup systems; maintain as-built records.
