Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Manager – Mechanical to own complex mechanical scopes for cutting-edge data center facilities. You will lead the installation of liquid cooling systems, HVAC, and related infrastructure on-site, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for safe, high-quality delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in mechanical construction, with 3+ years in data center projects, and familiarity with Uptime Institute/ASHRAE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• PMP, LEED AP, or similar certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 7 years in mechanical construction management, 3+ years in data center or mission-critical projects.
• Experience with liquid cooling systems in high-density environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
• Familiarity with data center design standards (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE TC 9.9).
• Proficiency with project management software: Procore, Primavera, MS Project, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight – manage mechanical construction activities for data center projects.
• Liquid Cooling Expertise – oversee design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of liquid cooling tech.
• Coordination – collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, GC, and vendors.
• Quality Control – ensure installations meet specs, standards and codes.
• Schedule Management – develop and maintain project schedules.
• Budget Management – monitor costs to stay within budgets.
• Safety Compliance – enforce OSHA and site safety protocols.
• Vendor Management – manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Commissioning and Testing – oversee testing of cooling loops and equipment.
• Documentation – maintain as-built drawings and compliance reports.
• Sustainability Focus – promote energy-efficient practices.
