Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Supervisor - Mechanical in Sweetwater, TX to oversee installation of advanced liquid cooling systems in data centers. You will guide field teams, collaborate with engineers and electricians, and ensure flawless performance in high-demand compute environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical construction or supervision on industrial or large commercial projects; minimum 3 years with liquid cooling in data centers or similar high-tech facilities.
• Journeyman or Master Mechanical License, AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and project specifications.
• Strong understanding of liquid cooling technologies, heat transfer principles, and data center mechanical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing tools such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain professionalism in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical technicians and subcontractors on liquid cooling systems.
• Coordinate with engineers, electricians, and other trades to integrate systems.
• Oversee installation to meet drawings and specifications.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Support QA/QC inspections and address non-conformances.
• Manage schedules and resources to meet deadlines.
• Assist commissioning with testing under load conditions.
