Job summary

Insight Global seeks a seasoned Mechanical Commissioning Lead to ensure large-scale mechanical systems are installed, tested, and meet design specs for critical facilities in Union City, GA. You will drive commissioning from construction closeout to project turnover, develop procedures, schedules, and execution strategies, and coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers, and vendors.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience in mechanical commissioning on major projects, deep HVAC/BAS

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical commissioning on large commercial, manufacturing, semiconductor, mission-critical, or data center projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water, heating hot water, air handling units, pumps, piping, controls, and BAS.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and commissioning documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mechanical commissioning activities from construction completion through project turnover.
• Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate commissioning efforts between owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and equipment vendors.
• Oversee startup, functional testing, integrated systems testing, and final acceptance of mechanical systems.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, test procedures, and commissioning documentation.
• Track commissioning progress and ensure all testing activities are completed on schedule.
• Identify and resolve commissioning issues, deficiencies, and system conflicts.
