Job summary

iENG Design is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our Commissioning team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience commissioning mechanical equipment and brings high energy, ownership, and commitment to our projects.

You will provide on-site start-up for HVAC, plumbing, and BAS systems, prepare Cx documents, and coordinate with architects and owners. Proficiency in Word/Excel and familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD are required. Travel nationwide as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience commissioning mechanical equipment
• Willingness to learn HVAC and piping systems, building products, construction details
• Ability to quickly learn and apply technical knowledge related to mechanical systems
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and ability to multi-task under deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; familiar with Revit and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Provide quality control of designs, energy models and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering disciplines, vendors, building officials and consultants; strong verbal and written communication is essential.
• Prepare Cx specifications, checklists and documents.
• Provide on-site start-up and balancing observation of CxA for HVAC, Plumbing, and BAS.
• Perform preliminary and functional checks with the construction team.
• Conduct thermal imaging and analyze data from scans.
• Review construction and start-up checklists and TAB reports.
• Generate punch lists, Cx reports and documentation.
• Travel nationally for pre-design site visits, design meetings, and construction phase site observations.
