Job summary

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to support our Washington, DC program. The role focuses on concept development through prototyping, testing, integration, and sustainment of advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems for communications hardware.

Onsite collaboration with engineers and technicians is required. You will design robust systems, generate detailed drawings, and perform DFM analyses while coordinating with suppliers and

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD/CAM software and creating technical drawings.
• Hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design robust mechanical and electromechanical systems, assemblies and components.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform analysis, material selection and design-for-manufacturability assessments.
• Support prototyping, testing, insertion into platforms and sustainment of deployed systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, technicians, engineers and suppliers.
