TSC is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Designer to support our customer in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with a strong background in mechanical systems and equipment, assemblies and product development.

This role involves everything from concept development and design to prototyping, testing, integration, maintenance and sustainment of advanced systems and hardware for communication systems.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on mechanical design and product development.
• Experience with design, prototyping, testing, integration and sustainment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and creating detailed drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, machining processes and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to work with tools and shop equipment and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to obtain DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Responsabilités

• Design robust mechanical and electromechanical systems, assemblies and components.
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform analysis, material selection and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) assessments.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, technicians, engineers and suppliers to ensure successful hardware implementation.
