Northern Manufacturing in Oak Harbor, OH is seeking a Senior Mechanical Assembly Technician to work on complex, custom-fabricated projects.

You will read prints, assemble components, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and take assemblies from start to finish while mentoring less-experienced team members in a hands-on, safety-conscious setting. The role offers opportunities to grow skills on diverse equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical assembly, machine building, or related hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of components and systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot assembly problems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete complex mechanical assembly work from prints and documentation.
• Assemble and install mechanical components and systems per requirements.
• Read blueprints to determine assembly needs and sequence of work.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fit, alignment, and installation issues.
• Mentor less-experienced team members and support Lead/Engineering as needed.
• Operate hand/power tools, forklifts, and cranes safely during assembly.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area.
