Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions in Michigan, USA, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Assembly to guide the assembly of complex projects and mentor the team. You will travel as needed to serve local clients and coordinate with manufacturing and engineering to apply state-of-the-art solutions.

The role requires a completed apprenticeship in a related field, a high school diploma, and solid machine tool operation knowledge. Five years of experience preferred; join a team focused on quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed apprenticeship in related field.
• Basic machine tool operation knowledge.
• Five (5) years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to travel; travel within US and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improves processes and delivers conforming quality products and services to internal/external customers.
• Interfaces with build staff and other departments.
• Leads and directs the assembly of assigned projects and other mechanical build duties.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Coordinates machine tool operations.
• Troubleshoots and debugs issues.
• Provides customer service.
• Participates in all required meetings, training, and trains new employees.
• Build, tear down, ship, install, and service equipment.
• Generates reports and investigates new projects.
