Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Advanced Engineer - Mechanical Analysis to join the Electric Power Generation Project Engineering team on a hybrid work schedule. You will drive mechanical architecture and concept definition for power systems, lead cross-functional teams, and work directly with leadership, customers, and suppliers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and at least 5 years of relevant experience; DO-160, MIL-STD-810 familiarity, and NPD/R&D

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• Experience in design and test of electric rotating machines (motors and generators).
• Experience designing Aerospace products to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.
• Hands-on background in NPD, R&D, or aerospace testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership of cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Provide technical leadership of Honeywell cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
• Lead investigations, carry out RCCAs, and resolve production, ISC, and customer issues
• Coordinate drawing changes to implement product improvements and support supplier processes
• Mentor other engineers; develop and support training plans
• Travel as required to support field, customer interface, or supplier engagement
