Job summary

Falck in Irwindale, CA is seeking a Mechanic Level 2 to perform quality mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, including ambulances. You will diagnose, disassemble, and reassemble components, and work with specialized diagnostic equipment.

Must supply own basic tools; requires 3–5 years of experience repairing emergency vehicles, ASE certifications, and a HS diploma. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience repairing emergency vehicles or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED.
• ASE certifications (3–6) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose gasoline and diesel engines and perform overhauls.
• Electrical: test harnesses and install aftermarket components.
• Diagnose OBD-II codes with diagnostic tools (Xentry, IDS, MDI).
• Replace or repair worn parts including bearings, clutches, and exhaust systems.
• Service and perform preventive maintenance on ambulances and operation vehicles.
