Job summary

Falck is seeking a Mechanic Level 2 in Irwindale, CA to provide quality mechanical repairs up to certification level. Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair on fleet vehicles, including ambulances and operation vehicles. Must bring basic hand tools and meet safety standards.

The role requires higher skill with diagnostic equipment and independent problem-solving. Falck emphasizes safety, compliance, and service to vulnerable individuals in line with CA law.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external customers.
• Must have the ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Strong organization skills and attentiveness to detail.
• Ability to maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.
• Satisfactory driving record in accordance with Company Driving Policy.
• At least 3-5 years of experience repairing and performing preventative vehicle maintenance on emergency vehicles or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose gasoline and diesel engines; overhaul engines and components.
• Electrical: test wiring harness and install aftermarket components.
• Diagnose OBD-II codes with diagnostic tools.
• Replace or repair worn parts and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure repairs are complete before release.
• Disassemble and overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials.
