Job summary

Falck is hiring a Mechanic Level 2 at the Santa Fe Springs, CA location to perform quality mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, including ambulances. You will diagnose, disassemble, and reassemble components up to your certification level using specialized diagnostic tools.

Must provide own basic hand tools and maintain a safe shop environment. The role is full-time with a pay range of $24-$29 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience repairing and performing preventative vehicle maintenance on emergency vehicles or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-6 ASE Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose gasoline and diesel engines and overhaul components.
• Electrical work: test wiring harness and install aftermarket components.
• Diagnose OBD-II codes using Xentry, IDS, and MDI.
• Replace worn parts and repair HVAC, belts, pumps, and exhaust systems.
• Test drive and ensure safety before releasing vehicle back to service.
