Job summary

Falck is seeking a Mechanic Level 2 in Irwindale, CA to perform high‑quality mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet of emergency vehicles.

You will diagnose engines, electrical and HVAC systems, use diagnostic tools (Xentry, IDS, MDI) and ensure safety standards before vehicles return to service.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, own hand tools, and a commitment to quick, accurate service in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing and performing preventative vehicle maintenance on emergency vehicles or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse teams.
• Ability to follow manufacturer specifications and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engines and overhaul components as needed.
• Electrical: test wiring, install aftermarket components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure repairs are complete before release.
• Repair HVAC, belts, hoses, and related parts.
• Operate vehicles to verify repairs and test drives.
