Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanic in Dayton, NJ to oversee maintenance and optimization of high-speed filling and packaging equipment in a GMP environment. You will lead a team of technicians, ensure reliability and uptime across multiple platforms, and mentor junior staff.

You will collaborate with Production Supervisors on repairs, changes, and SOP updates while ensuring safety, quality, and cGMP compliance. Onsite work schedule is 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology preferred, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a high-speed GMP manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with fragrance filling and packaging equipment platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of high-speed filling and packaging equipment in a GMP environment.
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of mechanics and technical staff across shifts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and support cross-training.
• Partner with Production Supervisors to prioritize equipment repairs and changeovers.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
