Job summary

Logistec in Houston seeks a maintenance specialist to perform advanced maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rigging systems. You will diagnose issues, plan complex repairs, and ensure equipment meets OEM specs and safety standards.

The role requires reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and mentoring junior mechanics. You may coordinate with crane and gear management tasks and document all work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years in mechanical, electrical, or crane maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals; proficient with diagnostic tools.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspections and diagnostics on mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, hubs, drive, steer).
• Plan and execute complex repairs to OEM specifications.
• Operate and test repaired equipment to confirm compliance with standards.
• Document all work orders and maintenance activities thoroughly.
• Troubleshoot: mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic systems; identify root causes and improvements.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems; read schematics; assist crane maintenance; use diagnostic tools.
• Inspect rigging gear for wear; coordinate major repairs; maintain inventory.
• Mentor Level 1 and 2 mechanics; share best practices and train juniors.
