Job summary

KLA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in multi-axis motion systems for wafer scanning. You will design fast, precise electro-mechanical systems and generate drawings with GD&T for wafer positioning stages and tooling.

You will perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses (FEA) to optimize components for stiffness, damping and manufacturability, collaborating with controls and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field with motion systems experience.
• Proficient in Creo/SolidWorks with several years of design and drafting work.
• Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for analysis and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with controls, systems, and manufacturing engineers on concept and details.
• Present design reviews and procure prototypes; optimize performance through iteration.
