Position Summary
As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing excellent customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
- Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) while ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, and encourage others to adopt new tools.
- Be an Owner: Drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring product quality, reducing waste, securing fragile merchandise, and assisting members with purchasing decisions.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by providing high-quality service, interacting with associates to address roadblocks, and mentoring others. Support a culture of belonging and help attract top talent.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, model Walmart values, hold oneself and others accountable, and support Walmart’s goal of positive impact for all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Optional qualifications include experience in meat processing areas.
