Position Summary
As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do
- Cleans the Meat Department during normal production work, including work surfaces, meat grinders, windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers, following company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Provides meat products to members by processing meat, including cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping, based on company specifications, operating and sanitizing equipment, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
- Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise properly, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
- Maintains the sales floor in the meat area according to company policies by handling claims and returns properly, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
- Receives and stocks merchandise throughout the facility, organizing and maintaining the facility by following procedures, using equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing necessary documentation.
- Ensures safety by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, conducting safety sweeps, handling hazardous materials properly, following forklift procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Follows company policies for food handling, packaging, labeling, storing, cleaning, and maintaining the fresh department.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with potential additional premiums based on specific circumstances. The actual rate will meet or exceed the local minimum wage.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Optional qualifications include experience in meat processing areas, which are not mandatory but preferred.
