Job summary
EPRI seeks an experienced Measurement-Based Grid Monitoring Analytics and Control Engineer – Staff Level III to advance measurement-based grid monitoring, analytics, and control for transmission operations and planning. You will develop software tools, perform large-scale power-system modeling, and contribute to R&D projects ensuring reliable operation with inverter-based resources.

Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with power systems focus.
- Master's degree with relevant research or industry experience.
- Experience in research, modeling, and simulation of power system dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Develop algorithms and tools for synchrophasor-based real-time monitoring and control.
- Model and simulate large power systems with high inverter-based resources.
- Perform dynamic studies using PSS/E and PSCAD for analysis of stability and control.
- Analyze field data and support investigations of events and disturbances.
- Prepare technical reports and publications for dissemination to members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple project deadlines.
